Elise Cooper, a graduating senior from Bellingham High School, recently received a $500 college scholarship from Metcalf Hodges PS through the Bellingham Dollars for Scholars (BDFS) program.  BDFS began awarding scholarships several years ago to deserving graduates from Bellingham’s four public high schools.  Since inception of the program, over $300,000 has been given to exceptional graduating students who plan to continue their studies past high school.   Metcalf Hodges PS has participated in the BDFS program since 2005.
