Janelle Bruland, President and CEO of Management Services Northwest Inc., has been named the 2010 SBA (Small Business Administration) Small Business Person of the Year. 

The SBA acknowledges one small business person in Washington State with this award each year after a thorough application and interview process.  Criteria considered include business longevity, growth in hiring, sales, financial performance, product uniqueness, community involvement and problem-solving ability.

Management Services Northwest, a Metcalf Hodges client, provides janitorial, landscaping, building maintenance and renovation services, to its steadily growing list of clients in Washington and Oregon.  The company was recently ranked as one of the fastest growing private companies in the October, 2009 issue of the Puget Sound Business Journal.

Janelle will be honored at the Washington State SBA awards banquet in Seattle in April 2010.  Following the banquet she will attend the national SBA awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. which includes a trip to the White House for recognition by President Barak Obama.
