Metcalf Hodges team members love their pets. We enjoy sharing stories and pictures of our beloved animals with each other so we thought we’d share some with you.
Tax Manager Sarah Papageorge and her husband, Chuck, recently adopted “Molly” from the Whatcom County Humane Society after their 18-year-old Burmese cat “Toby” died earlier this year.
They already had an 8-month-old Burmese named “Monte” who seemed to be looking for a companion. Sarah writes… “We got Monte in December after our 18 year old Burmese passed away. We call Monte the pirate. When we were remodeling he kept sneaking downstairs and stealing treasure (construction scraps). He would drag objects almost as big as he was upstairs and hide them under the bed. When we got Molly in late March he kept her as a prisoner under the same bed. He growled and circled the bed constantly. He is half the size she is. More recently he has released her. In search of better treasure he confiscated Chuck's Bluetooth earpiece. Fortunately Chuck tracked it down and repossessed it. Molly is very sweet but timid. The vet was amazed when she got loose at her office and didn't scratch or hiss at the dog next to her or at them.”
