Metcalf Hodges was honored with the Community Partner Award at the 23rd annual Arthritis Foundation North Puget Sound Branch Community Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday, February 17, 2011 in Bellingham. The recognition is given each year by the North Puget Sound Branch to an organization that displays a high level of community support. The Metcalf Hodges team has participated in the Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run/Walk in Bellingham since 1999. The firm has also received the Foundation’s Team Challenge Trophy in the past.
Other honorees included Sarah Papageorge, Metcalf Hodges Tax Manager, who received the North Sound Chapter Office award for her outstanding community leadership and service. Sarah has participated in the Bellingham Jingle Bell Run/Walk every year since 1999. She has also served on the branch leadership council since 2006. And she continues to be an auction committee member for the North Puget Sound branch annual fundraising event.
Sarah’s husband, Chuck Papageorge, was presented with the Charity Golf Classic Trophy as his golf foursome placed first in the 2010 tournament. This is the second year of Chuck’s participation in the golf classic.
