Metcalf Hodges team shares money skills with kids during JA Day

Sumas Elementary School students learned basic money management skills while having fun as their Metcalf Hodges “teachers” guided them during Junior Achievement Day on November 4th.  With the help of structured activities and games, the Metcalf Hodges team introduced the kids to skills needed for finding a job, managing a bank account and operating a business.

While kindergarteners learned about basic money concepts, the upper grade levels worked on projects that focused on the roles people and governments play in the global marketplace.

Junior Achievement is dedicated to educating students about work, business and financial literacy through hands-on programs.  The organization has been active in Washington State since 1953.
