There are many email scams out there these days. A recent one appearing to come from the IRS says that your tax payment has been cancelled and asks you to open a self extracting pdf.exe file.  The email sender is either trying to hack your computer or get you to give them your bank account information.

If you get an email which says it is from the IRS you may forward it to  phishing@irs.gov. Be sure not to open the attachment and delete it from your in-box, recycle bin or Deleted Items email folder. NEVER RESPOND TO THESE EMAILS.
