On the opening day of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, Harte and Jan Bressler, Bob Moles and Marilyn Delaney got up in the wee hours of the morning to catch a 5:00 bus to Olympic Park on Whistler Mountain.  Upon arriving they viewed the qualifying rounds of the normal hill ski jumping competition. 

On Saturday, they were joined by Deb Canon, Deb Staeb and Sarah Papageorge, as they headed back into Vancouver to watch Apolo Anton Ohno and J.R. Celski capture the silver and bronze medals in the 1500 meter short track speed skating event.  They also saw the semi-finals of the women’s 3000 meter relays, and that was quite a sight to see…sixteen women jockeying for position on and off the racing oval, all while skating at incredible speeds!
