Queen of Quickbooks

Julie originally joined Metcalf Hodges in 1994. Julie became an enrolled agent  in 2000, enabling her to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.  In addition, she is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Julie left Metcalf Hodges in 2001 to work for the private sector, but found she really loved public accounting, working with clients and the team at Metcalf Hodges.  In 2005, Julie rejoined our team as a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and tax preparer. Julie loves the opportunity to work with clients and to teach them how their numbers tell a story.  Oddly enough, she also thrives on the fast pace of tax season, which speaks volumes about her personality and why we adore her so much.

Julie has been married to her husband Ted for 35+ years. Some say it’s a miracle!   Having a dairy farm for many of those years gave her a strong work ethic and an appreciation for farm life. In her free time, Julie enjoys reading, traveling, art, ballet and the outdoors.  Julie has been a member of ASWA (American Society of Women Accountants) for more than 15 years and has served on the board and numerous committees over the years.
